If you’ve read this blog at all, you know how much I love the McElligott family. So when Matt mentioned his brother was getting married and gave my name to his soon to be sister in law, I was crazy flattered and super excited. Plus, I knew I was going to get to work with one of my other brides, photographer Hannah Higgins, and make up artist Hallie Hardin, so it felt like a party!
Oddly enough, Courtney and I did all of the planning and dreaming via email. Her vision was beautiful — peaches, soft pinks, succulents and tons of texture. I loved every picture she sent me. The wedding was at Rustic Grace Estate but Courtney mixed in some glam touches like the shimmery bridesmaids dresses and the ceremony altar arrangements that I think made for such a stunning mix of elements that really complemented each other.
Thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos, Hannah!
Calligraphy on mirror by Jenny with Neon Sheep Calligraphy…she’s also the adorable bridesmaid with the bump! 🙂
Congratulations Sean + Courtney! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of you wedding day.
Austin and Lesley are adorable together. I smile just looking at their love in these pictures. They wanted fairly simple decor at their wedding because people were the most important element to them. You can see that they love others well.
Megan Kay Photography did a great job capturing the day and I’m so thankful she shared these images with me so I could see just how great it all looked. Often times, as a florist I drop off the flowers and go on to set something else up or just come back when the festivities are over… so I love getting a glimpse into the day, the emotions, and the story.
Lesley’s dress was designed by her friend, bridesmaid and fashion designer, Haley. You can follow her creations on Instagram: @haleythompsondesigns
Floral crowns are all the rage this year, and with Lesley and her flower girl as models, I don’t see the trend stopping anytime soon. How cute are they? I loved Lesley’s crown of all delicate, feminine blooms– its so light and airy.
Congratulations, Wadlows! I was so honored to be a part of your day!
I met Katie when she was a student my first year teaching. She was in my Bible class and it was all junior girls. I was intimidated, inexperienced and so unsure of myself. Katie was one of those girls who made me feel like I was going to be okay. She was sweet, soft spoken and encouraging.
When we reconnected at the Denton Bridal Show, it was nice to talk to her as a friend and not with the teacher/student dynamic. She started dating Ian in high school, so I had followed their love story from afar and I knew how excited they were to finally tie the knot.
Katie’s vision was super cool and I’m glad she trusted me to execute it. I call it Whimsical Hipster, because Ian and Katie are cool, laid back, Denton-ites. We used a few shades of purple, slate blue and pops of pink peonies. The greenery we kept loose and organic. I can’t wait to share pictures from the wedding, but for now, take a peek at these GORGEOUS bridal pictures. Katie, you’re a stunner.
Thanks for the pics, Dapper and Dame! You guys rock!
