Stormie is a kick-butt trainer and competitive fitness girl, but she’s also incredibly sweet and super glam. Her bridal pics are gorgeous and I’m so happy to share them! She wanted an all white, fluffy bouquet, so we did lots of texture with roses, hydrangea, ranunculus and spray roses. But, I have to say, Stormie makes my flowers look good. 🙂
My first impression of Tony and Bernice was, “Ohmygosh! They are so cool! And beautiful! And so nice!” It was one big run-on sentence in my head. I was definitely a big fan of their style, both personally and for their wedding. Everything I saw Bernice wear throughout our planning sessions was f l a w l e s s. BUT, on top of all of that… they are the nicest, kindest, most sincere couple. I truly enjoyed being around them.
When I called Matt to talk about the day, I’m pretty sure I gushed about HER DRESS like a little girl. I love when I get to see the bride’s dress. It’s true when people say the dress is the starting point for the entire design process. More than Pinterest, more than color palettes, the dress gives me the best idea of the wedding’s overall style.
Without a wedding party, Tony wanted Bernice’s bouquet to be a “show-stopper.” I’m so glad Bernice is buff and strong, because that bouquet was not light! 🙂
We had a great team to create a memorable day!
My two favorite things from the day: the lush greenery arbor we created for the ceremony and Bernice’s hair piece- a last minute addition that worked so well.
Another favorite thing about this wedding was that I got to hang out with Rachel from Bloomology. She was one of my favorite students from my teaching days (you can’t say things like that when you’re teaching, but now that I’m several years removed, its just the truth). Rachel was a huge help prepping and designing the centerpieces and we had a fun time chatting while we worked. While at Baylor, she stared Bloomology and I’m so proud of her.
Gah, aren’t these photos just dreamy?! Great job, Matt. To Mr. and Mrs. Das–thank you for letting me a part of this spectacular day! Many, many blessings on your marriage.
You’ll fall in love with Alyssa and Junji as soon as you see these pictures. Their smiles say it all… they love each other, the people around them, and were so happy on their wedding day! Bright, fun blooms in peach, green and gray complemented the unique backdrop of the aquarium so well. With a bride’s man and girls wearing converse sneakers under their dresses, this was a wedding party ready to par-tay. Thanks to the amazing team of vendors who put together a great event for this sweet couple.
Really love this bouquet mash-up put together by the photography, Angela. Such a good idea… and really fun for me to see! 🙂
And below, a picture that touched my heart and made me laugh at the same time. Seems like the flower girl needed a break from her crown…and dad stepped in! 🙂
Congratulations to the Shibatas! Many blessings on your marriage!
I met cool and quirky Alyssa through Pati Gann, her wedding planner (Perfectly Planned by Pati). She wanted a bright look with happy flowers and colors. With a peach and kelly green palette, we created a lush and fun bouquet for her bridal pictures at the Dallas World Aquarium. The wedding was also held at the aquarium and made for some gorgeous images from the talented Angela Fleming with New Seasons Photography.
Take a look at the gorgeous Alyssa, her killer tattoos, and the beautiful blooms for her bridal shoot below. Even a little monkey guy liked the flowers! 🙂
I’ve been meaning to take the girls to the aquarium and after that last picture, I can’t wait! How cool is that tunnel?!
Kathryn’s parents lived across the street from us at our old house. They were always so sweet to us, so when Kathy mentioned her daughter was getting married, I really hoped they contacted me for the big day!
Kathryn’s inspiration picture featured pastel blooms with wheat accents. As you know by now if you follow Gathered, we love to use unexpected elements and try new things… so her picture got me very excited. Kathryn and Cody were funny and laid back during our consultation and made me feel confident that they trusted me.
Now that she’s Mrs. Sayles, I can share a few of her bridal pictures. Ashton Gardens created such a pretty backdrop and M&K Productions did a great job and Kathy, the mother of the bride, shared one of the sweetest compliments I’ve received, “They were perfect. The photographer said ‘those flowers match your personality.'” I’d say we nailed it then!
