During my conversation with Taylor about her wedding and overall vision for the day, I asked the all important question, “so tell me about your dress?” And I got the most epic story of perfect timing, great discounts, and God’s sweet gift of the perfect dress via strangers that I’ve ever heard. I had chills. So its only fitting that these bridal portraits feel just as EPIC.
Knowing that the pale blue dress what gonna be a show stopper, Taylar and I agreed to go for a more subtle bouquet. I adore how the different textures of green play so well with the tone of her dress and, hello…. the breathtaking scenery.
Let’s take a moment and give a virtual salute to Matt McElligott Photography for making me audibly gasp upon opening this gallery. Unreal.
I worked closely with Emily’s mom when I was a teacher and coach and got to know her family pretty well as we sat through numerous high school football games together. Sweet and spunky Emily is the oldest of the two daughters and was always fun, full of laughter and a welcoming to everyone. When I heard she was engaged, I was hoping her mom would reach out to me!
Emily’s vision for her wedding was simple: enjoy her friends and family as much as possible! The florals were classic, bright and happy. I am particularly fond of her bridal bouquet–the color combo was so unique and pretty. The mix of peony, garden rose, astilbe and sword fern is classy while a little bit funky. Take a look!

For those wondering what a posy bouquet looks like for a mother of the bride, check out Ruthie and her dainty white bouquet above.
And did I mention I love this family?! Their second daughter is getting married in December (yes, two weddings, just 5 weeks apart) and we are eagerly anticipating celebrating another Quam girl!
Congratulations to the Wards! We are so happy we got to be a part of your special day and we pray your marriage is a sweet picture of God’s love for you both!
Gathered got to be a part of Sarah’s sister’s wedding last year and we were more than flattered that the family called on us again for Sarah’s wedding. Sarah and Daniel are a sweet, relaxed couple who wanted an outdoorsy, romantic wedding. Sarah loved lavender so we incorporated both the color and actual stems of lavender into our designs –hello yummy smell!
We were able to work with a great team of vendors and create a gorgeous day for this sweet family.
